In honor of World Food Day TOMORROW from 2-4 PM, many Duke student organizations are coming together to host a meal packaging event in partnership with Stop Hunger Now. Come help us reach our goal of packaging 10,000+ meals! There will also be guest speakers and performances that will definitely change the way you think about hunger and food!
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER FOR THE EVENT HERE: https://stophungernow.secure.force.com/events/SA_EVENTS__Home?id=70170000000d7NnAAI
Please do it! It takes 5 seconds!
World Food Day: Bringing Hunger Home will also be the kick-off event for a new initiative called Social Change through Service! Social Change through Service is an initiative that strives to bring Duke students together for the common purpose of service through team-based service events. We also hope to start meaningful conversations about the racial, cultural, religious, and social barriers that the Duke community constructs that prevents students from interacting with a diverse group of people.
Social Change through Service events are in collaboration with Diya, the Black Students Alliance, Mi Gente, the Native American Students Alliance, the Center for Race Relations, Voices for Interfaith Action, Muslim Students Association, Hindu Students Association, Center for Multicultural Affairs, Duke Partnership for Service, and the Duke Student Government.
